Ok, so you have heard about advertising your new web site. In this venue we will explore this concept further generally about what role backlinks play specifically in the area of increasing your search engine rank position, also referred to as SERP, via creating back links to your affiliate marketing website from other unrelated web sites. All a back link is is a link back to your marketing website with some keyword targeted anchor text included. Google and other search engines read that anchor text and the more links you have including that specific keyword anchor text the better your site will rank for that particular keyword or phrase. Now does that mean you can go out today and get 1000 backlinks in 24 hours, or 1000 backlinks with all the same keyword anchor text? Well, Of course not, that would look definetly unnatural to the search engines and as a result you would derive little to no benefit from your submissions.
