Home Lamps: Lampshades Express Style
Lampshade have a strong impact on the style of home lamps. In general, lampshades that have a more elaborate design and tapered in shape are associated with traditional lamps. These lampshades may also be curved or have a scallop edge design – and perhaps have fringes or tassels. Modern lamps often utilize drum shape lampshades having vertical sides that emphasize the clean simple lines of the lamp base. Contemporary lamps may incorporate elements of both the Traditional and the Modern styles. The lampshade may be conical – but the detailing is likely not as ornate as that found in a Traditional style lampshade.
