I needed to turn around so I bought a swivel chair
I work in a school office and my desk chair was not working for me. I was not able to move around when people came into the office. I was always getting in and out of my chair to answer the phone, greet people at the door, print papers at the copier, and so forth. I decided that I needed a swivel chair so I could move around easier in the office without constantly getting in and out of my seat.
I didn’t only want a chair that moved, but I also wanted a chair that would represent the school. I needed something that was professional and made the office look classy. After all the office in the school is usually the first place people go when they enter the building. This is where they would get the first impression of what the school is all about.
After bringing this up to the school board they decided to buy me an executive office chair . I am glad I won my argument because I now have a swivel chair that suits my position better. I am able to move to the phone, copier, and the door with ease. The chair also makes the office and the school look much better. I can now sit in the office for the whole day without complaining because I not only have the mobility I need, but I also sit in comfort. This essentially makes me do my job better and helps the school function more properly.
