Which Parenting Styles Will You Choose?

As you will discover with time, there are many types of parenting styles out there, and not everyone will agree with just one particular style. This will really depend on each parent since each parent will see some parenting styles as appropriate and other styles they will not. Chances are that their views will be mainly influenced by the way they were raised as they were growing up. On one hand you have the parent who likes the parenting style that will spoil their kids, while on the other hand you have the parent in the grocery store who is trying hard to discipline their child in the frozen food aisle. At the same time those people who are around seem to look away awkwardly and act like they do not notice anything, privately feeling sorry for the kid while looking down on the parent, or conversely feeling sorry for the parent and looking down on the kid as being a brat.

Additionally, parenting your kids is something that you have to figure out on your own over time. It can be normal for you to draw from your own experiences as you where growing up and use them the way that your parents raised you as a child. Other parents will draw from their experiences and disapprove of that model, and they will decide to view it and use it as an example of how not to raise their own kids. Also, some parenting styles can be quite different depending on their culture, and they can also be taken in a different manner depending on certain regions.

In conclusion, it’s hard to say that there is just one correct type of parenting style, since different parenting styles will work for different parents. I think it really depends on the parent, the child, and their environment, which are very broad factors encompassing a myriad of traits, actions and experiences. Furthermore, some parents will choose the independent parenting style based on their own experiences as a child, and their child just might respond positively to it or maybe not.
