The Statue of Liberty Costume is available daily, except if weather or other conditions make it unsafe (more evidence that this is as much a physical exercise as an intellectual one). One other interpretation of the meaning behind the Statue of Liberty crown is one of enlightenment.

The climb is strenuous and not without risk, and the National Park Service recommends that crown visitors have no significant physical or mental conditions that would impair their ability to complete it, including, but not limited to: heart and respiratory conditions, mobility impairments, claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces), acrophobia (fear of heights) or vertigo (dizziness).

For some, the spikes, being the topmost part of the Statue of Liberty crown that points upward, represents the importance for the whole United States of America to always seek the help and guidance of the Heavenly Creator, which is the Christian God.
